Jan 28th

American Red Lager made with Irish Red Ale Yeast. Primed using a combination of Dried Malt Extract and corn sugar. I'm pretty pleased with it.

Jan 24th

Tired and grumpy with a bag that smells on the 32nd St platform. Back home is both a relief and a terrible disappointment.

Jan 23rd

Dominican Food almost impossible to find, so we eat mostly pasta and beans cooked in our room.

Jan 22nd

Full day of rain. A bit past stir crazy.

After being (nicely) kicked out of an all-inclusive resort, walking to the beach and not being able to deal with the Jimmy Buffet at the bar, Scott, Eric and I make our way past Ocean World the the Casino...

Damn! We watched TV two nights in a row?

Cooking dinner in the hotel, watching an amazing Russian musical about swing dancing vs. communism.

Jan 15th

Generally, I try to not get to attached to inanimate objects, but I really like this loupe, for three very important reasons.
#1: I took it out of a dumpster
#2: It reminds me of the best 24 hours I spent in Scotland
#3: I can use it to measure very small, very flat things.
I can't really speak one way or the other towards Janet's Supermarket however.
